Answer by Big Bad Bruce Shoaib Akhtar officially recorded the fastest speed of 100.2mph, there have been plenty of occasions when the speed gun has malfunctioned and recorded ridiculous speeds like in the case of Mohammed Sami, even a couple of days back in the Australia vs Pakistan T20 match Shaun Tait was clocking over 100mph and even Shane Watson was just under that figure while Johnson and Nannes at the other end were about 75mph, obviously there were some technical problems with the speed gun.

The way I see it is that Australia were unable to finish among the top 4 teams in the world cup. And after that they defeated only Bangladesh. An here they won the first ODI in Sr lanka but still 4 to go and Sri lanka can bounce back.
So my question is what has Australia proved up to now to be the number one in ODIs?Ofcoz if they win this ODI series then you can definitely say that they deserved to be the number one. But up to now what has they done to be the number one?
